Presidium
The Presidium is responsible for the Union's overall leadership and decision-making, and coordinates the work of all departments. It consists of 1 President and 2 Vice Presidents.

Organization Department

External Affairs Department

Publicity Department

Academic Department
Led by the Head of Academics, the department promotes astronomy research projects, public science projects, and collaborative observation/testing projects within the Union; provides academic and related support for members participating in secondary-school astronomy competitions; and participates in question-setting for student-organized astronomy competitions.

Special Members
Former participants in S4AU activities who have graduated, as well as other individuals who are not currently secondary-school students but have notable standing in Shanghai's secondary-school astronomy community or have made special contributions, may become Special Members after discussion by the Board and be inducted into the “Shanghai Secondary School Student Astronomy Union Hall of Fame.” Special Membership is lifelong. Special Members may not directly hold positions on the Board, but may attend Board meetings and related activities as observers, participate in exchanges and discussions, and provide support and advice to the Board where appropriate. (“Graduation Year” below refers to the year of high-school graduation.)
